Tree Surveying and Forestry

The CartoGoo GPS system provides the ideal tool for Tree Surveying and Forestry. The handheld CartoGoo unit will accurately display the user’s position and even place you on the Google Earth map right on site.

Then it is just a matter of recording the data for the Tree, or group of Trees, into the user defined form that appears on the screen. If Trees are in a difficult or hard to reach place then a wide range of methods can be used to survey the difficult positions.

Distance measuring lasers can also be used to measure the height, and girth of the trees, along with their proximity to electric cables.

Once the field work is done then the data can immediately be sent to Google Earth, ArcView or a wide variety of other desktop systems.
